Privacy policy
This policy covers localseothings.com and the work we do for clients. It is written plainly rather than legally, and it says what actually happens to your information.
What we collect
When you request an audit or write to us we keep what you send: your name, business name, city and state, email address, phone number if you give one, a website or Google Maps link if you give one, and anything you tell us about your situation. Our server keeps ordinary web logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
We do not run advertising trackers, analytics cookies or session cookies on this site. The site sets no cookies at all. If that changes, this page will say so before it happens.
How we use it
To prepare and send the audit you asked for, to reply to your message, and, if you become a client, to do the work you engage us for. We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone, we do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not send bulk email.
Where it is kept, and who can see it
Audit requests are stored in a database on our web server, hosted in the United States, and in our email account with Google Workspace. Our team works from India, so the people who read your message are outside the United States. The service providers that hold data on our behalf are our web host and Google Workspace; neither uses your information for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Audit requests and correspondence are kept for as long as we might reasonably need to refer back to them, and are deleted on request. Client records are kept while you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and reference.
Your rights over your information
Whoever and wherever you are, you can email contact@localseothings.com and ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We reply within one business day and act within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for asking.
California residents. Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to have it deleted, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in that law, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. There is nothing to opt out of, but the request address above is the one to use for any of these rights.
Other US states. Residents of states with comparable laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Texas, have similar rights and can use the same address.
Email and phone
We email you only in reply to what you sent, or about work we are doing for you. We do not send marketing campaigns; if we ever do, every message will carry an unsubscribe link and honour it. If you give us a phone number we use it to reach you about your request; we do not send automated or marketing text messages.
Children
This site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, the form is protected against automated submission, and access to the mailbox and server is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affected your information we would tell you and the relevant authorities as required.

Pages on this site link to other websites, including clients' sites and Google. Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be summarised here.
